During two weekends Peony Garden Festival – June 9, 10 and June 16, 17 – will offer show garden with several hundred of varieties, creative workshops and music performances 10/06, 12.00 – violinist Edgards Ziņģis, and 16/06  – guitar player Avairs Konutis. Each year we visit one pony garden in Europe. This time we had the chance to meet Stephan Tetzlaff, the owner of one of the finest German peony gardens, near Dusseldorf.

“Ziedoņi” has large collection of tree (rockii) peonies. They bloom before the lactiflora and itoh, usually middle May. Tree peonies can reach 2 m hight and more, and the flowers have wonderful smell .
